Patriotic Day in Farmington is our community’s largest formal event. Being the first Yellow Ribbon Community of Military support in Minnesota, we take our commitment to active service members and veterans with the utmost genuineness and importance.
The week of Veterans Day begins with our local veterans and their organizations going in and out of K-12 schools teaching and connecting with our learners. It culminates on the Thursday prior to Veterans Day (this year Thursday November7th). To kick off the evening, there is a Von Hanson’s supplied Steak Fry and dinner, prepared by our local Veterans Steak Fry group where anyone that wishes to celebrate and honor patriotism with our veterans and active service members are welcome.
Our goal is to serve over 1200 meals from 5:00-7:00PM at Farmington High School. At 7:00PM we have a formal program that is community and student centered. We regularly have…
